Overview

Fats are a popular topic in the media. A total of 272 articles about fats were collected in the period from January to June 2019. Some articles provide correct information. However, a total of 301 different citations have been evaluated, which attribute better or worse properties to fats than they have. This counteracts the formation of good nutritional habits. A comprehensive overview of incorrect information is given in this paper.

Keywords:

dietary recommendations – fats and oils – fatty acids – myths
